  • Washing & Drying Cashmere

    Hand washing cashmere

Cashmere can be washed by hand, using delicate hand wash detergent with cold or slightly lukewarm fresh water.

    Cashmere in the washing machine

Cashmere can be washed in your washing machine but we only recommend doing so if you trust your machine. Wash your cashmere on a wool setting, a cold wash or anything below 30C with little to no spin. We recommend using wool and silk detergent, do not use powdered detergent or fabric softener.

    Drying cashmere

Air dry your cashmere flat, never tumble dry.

  • How To Keep Your Cashmere Looking Its Best

Invest in a cashmere comb or an electric debobbler to remove pills that arise. When using either, don't press too hard onto the fabric as this can cause damage. A gentle press down will do.

    Storage

Cashmere should be folded and stored flat to prevent it misshaping. In the summer, cashmere should be stored in sealed bags to prevent moths.

    Repair

Cashmere is delicate, so when damage is noticed, it's important to repair it before you wear it again to prevent the damage from growing. We offer a Cashmere Repair Service as well as Reclaimed Cashmere Yarns so you can tackle repairs at home.
